Tulips originally came from Persia. They were introduced in Europe in the 1700s and became extremely popular. Today, there are so many colors and varieties of tulips available to us, that at times, it seems hard to choose. I wanted to paint these gorgeous red and yellow tulips because they are so bright and happy. Variegated tulips mean "You have beautiful eyes."
