BFF's

I decided to do a still life painting of this little brightly painted kitty I bought in Greece. My husband and I were there two years ago on the island of Santorini. It is quite spectacular, but we were only stopping there for the day, so I took photos, bought some souveniers and sampled the local baklava- YUM!

I paired this little kitty with the catnip mouse my real kitty "Beauty" loves to play with. I love the combination of these colors together. ("Beauty" just wants her mouse back!)

I wanted to paint this, because I love the way the birds "embrace" in the photo. I also love the shades of blue and orange reflected in the water.  I hope it brings a smile to your face.
